Fast rising musician Tulenkey says he had no doubts of winning an award at the just ended 2025 Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA).
According to him, his song “Bad Feelings” set a standard after its release and had no qualms that he would win the “Best Hiplife Song” in the year under review.
The musician known privately as Chief Osei Bonsu in a recent interview expressed the need for people to have positive thoughts as his win came from his confidence and thought.
“I believe that I had won the award already before going to the event because if you think positively, the universe works for you.”
These are things which are not taught in schools about our mindset, and the more you’re negative, you push good things away from you. I was so confident that you might think someone working at Charter House or TGMA has given me a hint already, but that’s not it,” he said.
Tulenkey who appeared to have covered his mouth during the awards night explained that he was sending a deep message to the world through his gestures, yet people did not get his silence message.
“Most people didn’t get the message behind my outlook and gesture at the TGMA when I had a thing covering my mouth. Some people felt that this would be so uncomfortable for me to have covered or closed my mouth for all this time without talking.”
“And those who were thinking this way should just imagine the number of men who’re not speaking despite their sufferings. I just had this covering my mouth for a few minutes or hours, but can you imagine the number of men who couldn’t speak their whole life, and some have died?” he queried.
Tulenky maintained that silence messages were dangerous but his optimism and confidence played a vital role in his win.
