Former FC Nordsjaelland tactician, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has disclosed how a conversation with Vincent Odotei Sowah led to his decision to join Hearts of Oak as head coach.
Mr. Odotei Sowah, in recent years, along with Alhaji Akambi, has become an unpopular figure in the eyes of hardcore supporters of Hearts of Oak.
The two, often trusted by the club’s patriarch, His Royal Highness Togbe Afede XIV, have been blamed for the club’s failings since their triumph in the 2020/21 season, winning the league and cup double.
Mr. Odotei, a rarely outspoken figure, had always maintained his best interest for the club at heart and may have proven it by convincing an experienced gaffer such as Didi Dramani to join the struggling Phobians.
Putting aside his love for the club, Didi Dramani, in his professional element, questioned Mr. Odotei why he was needed at the club, seeking to know how ambitious it intends to be.
Coming into the club with “direction, consistency, and sustainability,” the gaffer was touched by Togbe Afede’s financial dedication and commitment, especially after visiting the Pobiman complex.
Fans of the club must understand Rome was certainly not built in a day, and neither was the Brooklyn Bridge or even the Akosombo dam. It took months and even years of consistency, so patience is required for Hearts of Oak to become great again.
