As part of his objectives of ensuring the long-term and commercial viability of Ghana’s sporting infrastructures, Hon. Kofi Iddie Adams is undertaking a “high-level” working visit to the United Kingdom.
The sports and recreation minister, Hon. Adams, aims to transform the Borteyman Sports Complex into a multi-purpose sporting, event, and educational hub.
In the visits to the London Aquatics Centre and the 7,500-seater indoor Copper Box Arena, the honourable minister learnt of the following:
• Facility booking platforms and CRM systems
• Sponsorship architecture and digital ROI tracking
• Food and beverage operations run in-house for revenue retention
• Lighting technology and advertising displays that double as revenue generators
• Social media-driven promotion to boost usage and ticket sales
Focus is now drawn to a comprehensive roadmap centred on job-creating, talent-developing, and economic-contributing sports facilities in Ghana.
