Accra Lions FC took the lead in a match at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 10th minute of the first half thanks to a goal by Daniel Kwame Awuni.

Nsoatreman FC put out a tremendous effort in the second half, but they were unable to score and were forced to concede a 2-0 loss at the end of the game.
Accra Lions moved to the top of the Ghana Premier League rankings as a result of the victory, while Nsoatreman FC fell to ninth.
