GPL WK 10: RTU beat 3-2 Kotoku Royals in first game of 2023

On Sunday, January 1, 2023, Real Tamale United (RTU) defeated Kotoku Royals 3-2 in their matchup week 10 game at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Real Tamale United’s Kushibo scored in the seventh minute, enthralling the home crowd. Kushibo intercepted a pass intended for his defender from Kotoku Royals’ goalkeeper and raced in to score.

2-0 was achieved in the 58th minute by Issah Kuka. After receiving Frimpong’s cross, he scored. In the 60th minute, Kotoku Royals score a comeback.

In the 85th minute, the opposition tied the score, setting up a tight conclusion to the game. In the final seconds, Real Tamale United’s Nurudeen scored the game-winning goal. He capitalized on Stephen’s cross to put RTU ahead.

Kotoku Royals are at the bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings with four points, while Real Tamale United is in eighth place with 14 points. The following game for RTU will be against Karela United, while Kotoku Royals will host Berekum Chelsea.
