GPL: Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu leaves Accra Great Olympics after 5 months

Date:

After only five months with the Ghana Premier League (GPL) team, Great Olympics, former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has left.

Agyemang-Badu joined the team at the beginning of the 2022–2023 campaign and assisted them in taking home the GHALCA trophy.

After leaving Japanese club Qingdao, the former Udinese player signed a one-year contract with Great Olympics.

The footballer is thought to have left Great Olympics as a result of confusion after the firing of former coach Yaw Preko.

He participated in 11 league games for the Dade Boys, winning two man of the match awards.

In December 2020, the 32-year-old made his international retirement announcement.

After leaving Great Olympics, Agyemang-future Badu’s travel plans are unknown.
