Ghana’s Coronavirus Cases Hit 8297, With Recoveries Nearing 3000

According to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), there have been more patients of the Coronavirus recovering as active cases increase to 5273.

Reports reaching www.maxfmlive.com , as of June 2, indicate that there have been 145 more people confirmed to have recovered from Coronavirus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2986.

The GHS also indicated that two more patients have died since the last update 24 hours ago , bringing  the total number of Coronavirus deaths to 38 .

However, the number of confirmed positive Coronavirus cases have also risen to 8297.

The latest COVID-19 casualties, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS), are two women with underlying issues.

Case 37 involves a 52-year-old woman reported at a hospital in Kumasi with metastatic Ovarian cancer and gastro internal bleeding before testing for the Coronavirus. She died three days after admission.

Casualty 38 was a 64-year-old woman admitted with an initial diagnosis of congestive cardiac failure and bilateral pneumonia who died two days after being confirmed with the Coronavirus.

The Greater Accra Region continues to lead with the highest number of active cases in the country. The number is now 5798.

Ahafo Region remains Coronavirus free as it has not recorded any cases so far.
