Renowned Brand Development Expert Amandzeba Phiphi Smmyth has expressed concern about the kind of media being created by the generation and termed it as dangerous.
According to him, the current media promotes sensationalism rather than presenting objective information and projecting issues that could improve national discourse.
Expressing his disappointment in the kind of media being built in the country during an interview on Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday, Amandzeba observed that the sensationalism was destroying the professionalism that comes with the media.
”That is one problem I find with our media space. We like sensationalism. The right people that the media could speak to, they will not. They want to create controversy, and they will bring you in. You might think that they are giving you the attention, but they will destroy you,” he lamented.
Amandzeba expressed regret with the current media for not promoting peace, objectiveness, and the kind of education, which would rightfully project the media and saw the line it was toeing as “dangerous” to development
”I think we are building a media space in this country which is dangerous,” he added.
His comment comes after United Television on Saturday invited Papa Shee and Abusuapanyin Tupac, the family head of the late highlife legend Daddy Lumba to shed more light on the court proceedings during the United showbiz where both washed their dirty linens in public.
