The president of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has profoundly expressed his gratitude to the members of parliament for their show of support for the Black Queens of Ghana.
Ghana’s women’s senior national football team made the entire country proud with their show of resilience and precision in the run to the semi-final of the 2024 Women’s African Cup of Nations.
“Thank you for your support. We appreciate your comments in Parliament, and we urge you not to stop talking about women’s football or football for that matter,” he said at the launch of the 2025 Democracy Cup.
The Queens are set to face Banyana Banyana for a bronze medal finish on Friday, July 25, 2025.
