The Minister of Education Designate, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, shared exciting news during his vetting at the Parliament of Ghana.
According to the former Minority Leader, under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, all level 100 students shall receive a refund of their school fees.
This move falls in line with the president’s promise of making the first year of tertiary education free during his presidential election campaign in 2024.
“All Level 100 students in public and private universities who have already paid their fees will receive a refund.” – Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, he said before the Appointment Committee on Monday, January 20, 2025.
Hon. Haruna adamantly maintains the president’s stance on the free SHS policy, stating the new government would not scrap it but exercise a comprehensive review of it.
