The Turkish club Besiktas has reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for the initial loan of Ernest Poku.

The deal, which includes a buyout clause, provides for a long-term contract extending through June 2031.

The young talent will fly to Istanbul tomorrow to finalize his contract with the Black Eagles.

Born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents, the Dutch-Ghanaian forward is poised to take a major step forward in his career.

Having been developed in the top echelons of European soccer, his explosive style and offensive versatility will be a valuable asset to the Istanbul club’s tactical system.

Poku will quickly have the opportunity to prove himself and win over the Turkish fans from his very first steps in the Super Lig.
