A clinical strike from Callum Hudson-Odoi sunk Arne Slot’s Liverpool to their first defeat of the 2024-24 Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Liverpool was favorites to win at Anfield Stadium and continue their winning ways in the new season when they took on Nottingham Forest in a matchday four encounter.

Forrest managed to hold Liverpool till the stung with a 72nd-minute curler from the England-born Ghanaian, Hudson-Odoi, when he came in to the game as a substitute.

At the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland’s first half double ensured Manchester City beat Brentford, who went ahead with a 1st-minute goal from DR Congo’s Wissa.

Jean-Philipe Mateta scored in the 90+2 minutes to rescue a point for Crystal Palace as they drew 2-2 with Leicester City, as West Ham held Fulham to a 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage.
