Musical Producer Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appietus has clarified that the feud between the legendary highlife singer Daddy Lumba and Ofori Amponsah did not stem from the issue of money.
It was rumored that Daddy Lumba through his mentorship took the lion share of the profit from the sale of music done by Ofori Amponsah.
That brought a feud between the once legend and his industry son, a.k.a Mr. All 4 Real which Appietus dismissed the claims.
In an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, Appietus said Ofori Amponsah rather accused Lumba of taking undue credit for his musical works.
”Daddy Lumba used his face or image on the cassette cover of the song composed by Ofori Amponsah and this brought the rift,” he explained.
Appietus said the issue of that unresolved feud since 1999 was resolved at his studios, years ago before the death of the legendary singer Daddy Lumba.
He mentioned that Daddy Lumba explained that he only used his picture for the cover cassette just to use his fame to sell off the cassette for Ofori Amponsah.
”This was because, Ofori Amponsah was not popular and it was not for the reason that Daddy Lumba wanted to take the credit of Ofori Amponsah’s work. He was rather helping Ofori Amponsah to make money,” Appietus emphasized.
