Former head coach of the Atlas Lions of Morocco Walid Regragui has turned down the chance to be the next Black Stars coach.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) is in hunt for a top-class coach to lead the Black Stars to the 2026 FIFA World Cup in June.
According to UK-based Ghanaian journalist Rahman Osman, the Moroccan gaffer has told the GFA to take him out of their list of targets.
Regragui is rather eyeing either a return to the Atlas Lions or taking charge of the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia.
With French coach Hervé Renard, who is also a target for Ghana, under immense pressure as head coach of Saudi Arabia, Regragui has become the main target for the oil-rich Saudis.
Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah and Renard are frontrunners for the Black Stars job, with Black Queens coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren standing an outside chance.
