Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, commended both his team and Sekondi Eleven Wise for their strong performances following their MTN FA Cup clash on Wednesday afternoon.
The Porcupine Warriors hosted the lower-tier side at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in the Round of 16, securing a narrow 1-0 victory thanks to a decisive goal from Elvis Kyei Baffour.
Speaking after the match, Coach Ogum expressed his satisfaction with the team’s display while acknowledging the effort of Eleven Wise.
“It was a good game where both teams played very well. We focused on maintaining possession and exploiting spaces behind their defensive line, knowing they often stayed in a low or medium block. I think both teams gave a good account of themselves. The most important thing is that we won and progressed to the next stage,” he said.
With this victory, Asante Kotoko advances to the quarter-finals, where they will face True Democracy in their pursuit of the MTN FA Cup title.
