Asante Kotoko: We’ve not signed Sulley Muntari

Date:

Sulley Ali Muntari, a midfielder from Ghana, has not been signed by Kumasi Asante Kotoko, contrary to rumours.

On Wednesday, August 16, 2022, there have been numerous rumors that the Porcupines Warriors have signed the illustrious midfielder to a two-year contract.

However, Asante Kotoko’s Brands and Communication Manager, David Obeng Nyarko, has denied the reports.

In a reaction on social media, David Obeng Nyarko tweeted “not true pls”.

Accra Hearts of Oak’s Executive Board Chairman is reportedly planning to speak with Muntari in order to persuade him to dedicate his future to the team.

According to rumors, Togbe Afede has planned a meeting with Muntari and his group in order to persuade them to stick with Hearts of Oak.

Muntari committed to a one-year contract with Hearts of Oak after being deeply moved by the Phobians’ MTN FA Cup victory.

While Hearts of Oak will be happy to have Muntari on their club for the Confederations Cup campaign, Kotoko needs an experienced midfielder to help their CAF Champions League campaign.
