Anthony Joshua is expected to arrive at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) at 11:15 a.m. today ahead of Battle of the Beasts, the much-anticipated boxing event airing live on Max TV this evening.
Organized by Sharaf Mahama, CEO of Legacy Rise Sports and son of President John Dramani Mahama, the event is being billed as the “biggest boxing event in recent times.” It will take place this Friday, June 13, at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
The explosive night of boxing features 10 thrilling matchups, pitting Ghanaian fighters against elite international opponents.
Main Event:
Ghana’s undefeated Jacob “The Beast” Dickson takes on American Andrew Tabiti for the WBC Africa Bridgerweight title.
Bantamweight Showdown:
WBO Africa Bantamweight champion Daniel Selassie Gorsh squares off against experienced fighter Theo “Lopez” Allotey.
Cruiserweight Clash:
National champion Haruna “Thunder” Mohammed defends his title against Abdulai Ahmed.
Knockout Alert:
Rising star Abubakar Kamoko (aka Bukom Tilapia), son of Bukom Banku, faces Stephen Ackon in a high-octane undercard match.
Sharaf Mahama, speaking at the press launch at Multichoice’s Achimota Hub, said:

A public weigh-in is scheduled for Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Bukom Square Park. The event has drawn major attention with several high-profile guests expected, including boxing legends and cultural influencers.
