Ampem Darkoa Dominate End of Season Awards

The Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League winners Ampem Darkoa FC dominate the awards list following the climax of a stellar season.

Ampem Darkoa produced a phenomenal comeback win over long-time rivals Hasaacas Ladies at the Swedru Sports Stadium on Sunday, April 19, 2026.

At the end of the game, the head coach of the winners, William Afoakwa, was adjudged the coach of the season, and his Black Queens of Ghana star, Patience Ajegipina Zakaria, won the topscorer award.

Seasoned goalie in Ghana’s women’s top division, Grace Banwaa, won the best goalkeeper award of the season.

Youngster Beline Nyarko of Epiphany Warriors was recognised as the emerging player of the season, as Fosua Royal Ladies’ Angelina Yeboah was named the discovery of the season.
