2024 ASHANTIFEST SEMI-FINALS: Adoato, Amakom, Bantama and Ejisu Teams qualify

The MTN Ashantifest Football Tournament’s Semi-final matches are scheduled for Friday, July 19, 2024. In Semi-final one, Ejisu FC will face Bantama FC, while Semi-final two will feature Adoato FC against Amakom FC.

The MTN Ashanti Fest Inter Community Gala 2024 provided thrilling action during the quarter-final stage. On Thursday, July 11, 2024, the quarter-final matches kicked off at Otumfuo Park, Dechemso at 2 pm. Ejisu secured a 2-0 victory over Tech, with goals from Yusif Kamal, Victor Asamoah, and Joseph Gordon, while Tech’s Nasir Pablo Aimar missed a penalty. In the second match, Adoato edged past Atonsu 1-0, courtesy of Augustine Okrah’s goal.

On Friday, July 12, 2024, Abrepo and Bantama played to a 1-1 draw in the third quarter-final match, with goals scored by Emmanuel Asiedu for Abrepo and Emmanuel Sarpong ‘Agogo’ (penalty) for Bantama. Bantama emerged victorious 4-3 on penalties, with Kwadwo Randy of Bantama receiving a red card. In the fourth quarter-final, Amakom defeated Santasi 2-0, thanks to goals from Nana Kwame ‘Laliga’ and Elvis Kyei Baffour ‘Awukye’. Yusif Alhassan Chibsah of Santasi was sent off with a red card.

Looking ahead, the Semi-final fixtures are set for Friday, July 19, 2024, featuring Ejisu versus Bantama in Semi-final one, and Adoato versus Amakom in Semi-final two.
