Hansi Flick did not hide from reality after Barcelona’s first defeat of the season.
Barcelona suffered a 4-2 defeat away to Paris Saint-Germain in the third round of the Champions League league phase on October 20.
The Catalans twice managed to respond during an entertaining night at the Parc des Princes, but PSG took control late on and handed Flick’s side their first competitive loss of the 2026/27 campaign.
Speaking after the final whistle, Flick delivered a remarkably straightforward assessment of the difference between the two teams and openly admitted that the French champions remain ahead of Barcelona at the moment.
“PSG showed that they are still a better team than us. We can learn from this defeat,” Flick said.
