Ya Na Abukari II is dead!

Dark clouds settled on the kingdom of Dagbon due to the passing of Ya Na Abukari II.

Ya Na Abukari II, the Overlord of the Dagbon Kingdom, passed on in South Africa, where he travelled for a treatment.

His death, according to Graphic Online, has been confirmed by the Head of the Dagbon Kingmakers, Kuga Naa, Adam Abdulai II.

At the Gbewaa Palace, talking drums sounded throughout, as necessary Dagbon rites were performed.

The late Ya-Na was enskinned in 2019 following the implementation of a devised roadmap by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

He served as the president of the Northern Regional House of Chiefs.
