Celebrated lawyer and historian Dr Yaw Anokye Frimpong has responded to claims that he lied about two tremendous pillars in Ghana’s history, Prempeh II and ‘Osagyefo’ Dr Kwame Nkrumah.
He reacted to the negative reports surrounding his narratives of the aforementioned two on Max TV’s Max Morning Live on Wednesday, March 18.
“About two or three weeks ago I heard reports about me that said I lied about Prempeh II giving the title ‘Osagyefo’ to Dr Kwame Nkrumah,” said Dr Yaw Anokye Frimpong.
He stated clearly that not long ago, the King of the Ashanti Kingdom, Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II, confirmed that his uncle Prempeh II encouraged Dr Kwame Nkrumah to fight for the freedom of the Gold Coast and bestowed on him the title ‘Osagyefo’.
“Silence is golden,” he stated as he explained that if he had replied to the comments of people in a rush, Otumfuo would not have confirmed what he had said.
He advised that once you know what you stand for, there will not be a need to rush to make hasty decisions.
