Black Galaxies head coach Kassim Mingle has expressed satisfaction over his team’s performance against the Bafana Bafana.
The Bafana Bafana of South Africa invited the Black Galaxies of Ghana in an international friendly ahead of the forthcoming 2025 AFCON.
Sipho Mbule’s stunning strike in the 57th minute sank the Ghana side, who huffed and puffed in search of the equaliser but to no avail.
Reacting after the game, the former Nations FC coach was overall pleased with his team’s performance in Durban.
“It’s a young team that we are building, and we had three weeks to camp them. It was hard luck [and] we should have equalised the goal, so I am happy. I am satisfied with the performance.
“[The future] is very bright, but there is more room for improvement, [and] as time goes on, when we get more time camping together, I think they can do better than this.”
Ghana, for the first time since 2004, failed to qualify for the 2025 AFCON after finishing bottom-placed in her qualifying group.
