Nineteen persons have been convicted to fines and terms of imprisonment for their compromised roles in the 2025 WASSCE.
Nineteen of thirty-five people, who are teachers, were found guilty by the courts of Ghana in their role in examination malpractices.
Head of Public Affairs for the West African Examination Council (WAEC), John Kapi, disclosed in an official statement that the remaining sixteen are yet to be prosecuted.
A total number of 461,736 candidates, made up of 207,415 males and 254,321 females from 1,021 schools, registered for the examination.
