The Eastern South Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has announced the capture of a Nigerian fugitive in Akwatia.

The suspect, Victor Benjamin Fejemirokum, is believed to have evaded Nigerian authorities after allegedly killing a woman and her daughter in Abeokuta, Ogu State.

He was traced to Akwatia after fleeing from Nigeria. The suspect was hiding at his friends’ in Akyem Wenchi where he was arrested following a tip-off.

Arrangements have been made to hand him over to Nigerian authorities by the Ghana Police Service.

The Ghana Police Service entreats the general public to report any suspicious behavior or movements of any person or group.
