Ghanaian Sound Engineer, Appietus has disclosed that the late legendary musician, Charles Kwadwo Fosu known in the showbiz circles as Daddy Lumba was the first artiste to have given him a huge amount of money for producing his songs.
According to him, Daddy Lumba gave him Gh¢90,000 just to work with him.
Appietus shared this during an exclusive interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday.
”Daddy Lumba was the first musician to give me a huge amount of money. It wasn’t like charging, he came and then left a small ‘Ghana Must Go’ bag and I even thought it was fruit drinks but it was money.”
”He gave me Gh¢90,000 just to work with me. That’s how it started. He wanted to come in large and I also gave him my best,” he said.
Appietus indicated that working with Daddy Lumba, George Jahraa, Adane Best among other great musicians was a huge honor and boosted his craft as a sound engineer.
