The first gentleman of the land, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, will give a befitting burial to the legendary highlife musician Daddy Lumba.
Known in private life as Charles Kwadwo Fosu, Daddy Lumba died on the morning of Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital after a brief illness.
President Mahama expressed sadness over the death of hit ‘Theresa Abebrese’ crooner in an official statement and described him as a musical genius whose legacy will live through the ages.
Roman Fada, a member of the late musician’s management team, remained confident of the president’s unwavering support to ensure an honouring farewell to the legend.
“We’ve gotten a positive feedback from the presidency, which I know that H.E. John Dramani Mahama will grant us what we’ve requested with regards to giving him [Daddy Lumba] a befitting burial,” said Roman Fada on Sunday.
Tributes continue to pour in for Lumba, whose classic hit songs have lived through ages, and and name will be known by generations to come.
