The Kaneshie District Court has adjourned proceedings in the case involving the killing of Immigration Officer Stephen King Amoah to August 8.
The adjournment was confirmed during a hearing on Thursday, July 24, with the prime suspect, Bright Aweh, remaining in police custody as investigations continue.
Initially handled as a kidnapping case, the matter has now been reclassified as homicide and transferred from the Kwabenya Circuit Court to Kaneshie, which has jurisdiction over serious criminal offences.
Stephen Amoah, aged 38, was reported missing on July 3 after leaving home to meet a friend at Ashongman Estate. His charred body was discovered five days later at Abuom Junction, near Kwabenya.
Aweh is believed to have been the last person in contact with the officer before his disappearance.
