Burundian referee Suavis Iratunga has been appointed by CAF to take charge of the high-stakes WAFCON 2024 semifinal between hosts Morocco and the Ghanaian Black Queens, set for Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at the Rabat Olympic Stadium.
Iratunga will be supported by an experienced officiating team featuring Carine Atezambong Fomo from Cameroon and Fides Bangirambona, also from Burundi, as assistant referees. The fourth official duties will be handled by Aline Marie Noelle Guimbang Etong of Cameroon.
The Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team will be led by Letticia Antonella Viana of Eswatini, assisted by Abdalaziz Yasir Ahmed Abdalaziz from Sudan and Diana Chikotesha of Zambia.
This much-anticipated semifinal promises fireworks as Morocco aims to reach the WAFCON final once more, now on home turf, while Ghana eyes its first-ever appearance in the tournament’s championship match.
