‎Gayism is prevalent in the movie industry—Gideon Boakye

Date:

Actor Gideon Kojo Boakye has confirmed that many male producers are sleeping  with the male actors before giving them roles in movies.

‎The phenomenon, he said has become a necessary evil in the industry.

‎Revealing this in an interview with e-Quick on Max TV in Accra on Wednesday, Boakye indicated that the gay act was prevalent and he could not paint the industry as all roses.

‎”Yes I experienced such but not in Ghana here, it was in Nigeria. I sometimes go to shoot there and it happens,” he confirmed.

‎Boakye further indicated that the industry required lots of prayers as being prone to the gay practice was very high, especially when an actor wanted to be recognized.

‎”You should thank God when it has not happened to you. It takes consistent prayers to know how to deal with it when it happens to you. Sometimes saying no to it is very hard,” he stated.

‎However, Boakye condemned the act and called on the actors to know how to deal with it when they encountered such.

‎”It is something that is there. Yes, I agree we cannot paint the picture that it is alright and we cannot neglect the fact that it’s happening. It is human: we deal with warmness and coldness, depending on how you will treat it,” he added.
