Asante Kotoko right-back Emmanuel Kotei has successfully undergone surgery on his knee.
Kotei sustained a knee injury during a training session over a week ago, forcing him to miss the rest of the 2024-25 season.
“The defender’s planned surgery took place in Kumasi on Wednesday and was conducted successfully by expert surgeons.
Kotei will now focus on the beginning of his rehabilitation under close supervision from the club’s medical department,” the club said in an official statement.
The timeline for his return is yet to be confirmed by Asante Kotoko.
