John Mahama aims at strengthening Ghana’s health sector

Date:

The President of the Republic of Ghana, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has assured Ghanaians of his government’s commitment to strengthening the health sector.

The health sector of Ghana has over the years faced its challenges, making it extremely difficult for the old and new governments to make significant strides.

Speaking at his inauguration ceremony at the Independence Square on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, H.E. Mahama implied that by strengthening the health sector, there would be minimal loss of lives should Ghana be struck with another epidemic.

“My government will be working diligently to strengthen our public health systems… so that when—not if—the next pandemic or epidemic occurs, the loss of lives in Ghana will be minimal.”

He therefore called for patriots to join in the cause of resetting the country to elevate her to a place “where hope thrives, and dreams become a reality.”
