In a signed statement by Henry Quartey, Minister for the Interior, the Ministry of the Interior has declared Tuesday, January 7, 2025, a statutory public holiday.
This is to mark Constitution Day, also a significant day for the swearing in of president-elect John Dramani Mahama.
Constitution Day commemorates the 1992 Constitution and the birth of the Fourth Republic under the late president of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.
Statement of Ministry of the Interior
The general public is hereby informed that Tuesday, 7th January 2025, which marks Constitution Day is a Statutory Public Holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country.
