2024-25 GPL: Matchday 16 results — Hearts, Nations, Apostles record wins

Date:

Hearts of Oak kicked off matchday 16 of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League with a commanding victory over Legon Cities through Ramzy Issah’s 45th-minute strike.

Karim Zito’s Dreams FC finally returned to winning ways courtesy of a Kevin Ahiable strike with 20 minutes to the end of the game against Accra Lions. Lions completed the game with ten men after Edmund Amakye received a questionable red card.

Emmanuel Abban produced a Man of the Match performance against league leaders Heart of Lions, bagging a brace after Darlvin Yeboah gave Bechem United the breakthrough.

Black Stars defender Razak Simpson scored a brilliant free-kick goal for Nations FC just ten minutes into their game against Basake Holy Stars at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Stadium. Faisal Charwatey continued his goalscoring form by netting Nations’ second. Emmanuel Annor sealed the win for the home team with a well-taken volley despite Holy Stars pulling one back through Emmanuel Agyei.

Christopher Ennin’s tenure at FC Samartex kicked off to a flying start as Solomon Agyei stole the win for his team in the 76th away at Aduana FC.

Karela United were left stunned away at the Wenchi Sports Stadium by one of the league’s newcomers, Young Apostles, who secured a crucial win to help their bid of staying in the top flight division.

Vision FC recorded a much-needed win after Abdul Rauf Suleman’s 6th-minute goal against the defending MTN FA Cup champions, Nsoatreman FC.

At the TnA Stadium on Sunday afternoon, Medeama fought back to share points with Asante Kotoko. Kwame Opoku handed Kotoko the lead in the first-half, but Kamaradini ensured Medeama were not going to suffer a home defeat as he scored the equalizer in the 61st minute.
