Joshua’s KO of Ngannou tops 2024 rankings

Date:

CBS Sports crowned Anthony Joshua’s March knockout of Francis Ngannou as the 2024 Knockout of the Year. Joshua’s devastating overhand right ended Ngannou’s unbeaten boxing streak after a second-round stoppage.

Later in September, Daniel Dubois secured the year’s second-best knockout by defeating Joshua in five rounds at Wembley. Dubois dropped Joshua four times, clinching the victory with a decisive final blow.

Zhilei Zhang’s fifth-round knockout of Deontay Wilder in Riyadh ranked third, capping an eventful year for heavyweight boxing. Joshua finished 2024 with a 28-5 record and 25 knockouts.
