2024-25 GPL: Kotoko is not in the title race – Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum

Date:

On the back of Asante Kotoko’s back-to-back victories, Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum, refuses to consider his team in contention for the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League crown.

Kotoko followed their win against Hearts of Oak with a superb away win against Dreams FC at the Tuba Astro Turf on Saturday, December 21, 2024.

Baba Yahaya and Saaka Dauda scored for the Porcupine Warriors in the first-half before Joseph Esso halved the deficit for the Still Believe boys.

Speaking to Nana Darkwa Gyasi after the game, Dr Ogum though excited with his team’s run of form, he insisted that they would take the game one after the other.

“We just have to take it game by game. Just focus on the next game and then we keep going. That’s the most important thing,” he said to Max TV.

Asante Kotoko will welcome second-placed Bibiani Gold Stars at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium a day after boxing day for chance of moving closer to the summit.
