Henry Asante Twum, the Communications Director at the Ghana Football Association, has shared the mutual confidence of the Association fully backing Otto Addo to qualify Ghana for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana’s enormous failure to reach the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has resulted in many calling for the head of the head coach of the Black Stars, Otto Addo.
The stance of the Ghana Football Association on this trending issue is different from others, insisting the former Ghanaian international is sacked.
Apparently, the Ghana Football Association remains fully confident in Otto Addo’s ability to qualify the Black Stars for the next FIFA World Cup to be jointly hosted by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
“Otto Addo qualified us for the World Cup in Qatar, but at that time, there was Chris Hughton, George Boateng, and Didi Dramani,” he said.
“I admit that this time, it is different but I believe that Otto Addo and his technical team are competent and capable of delivering Cup qualification,” he added.
The Black Stars will take on Chad and Madagascar in the next rounds of the qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup.
