The head coach of the glorious Accra Hearts of Oak has warned against complacency after his side managed to leave Wenchi with maximum points on Sunday in matchday six of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League.
Hamza Issah scored the winning goal for Hearts of Oak after Emmanuel Amankwah’s opener for the away side was cancelled out by Samuel Prempeh’s audacious overhead kick in the 83rd minute.
The Ivorian gaffer insisted his side must not waste time in reveling in their recent turn of fortunes but rather improve on their game and maintain form ahead of the remainder of games in the league.
“Today’s match is a very tough match. I know it can be difficult for us. Young Apostles have a very good side. We tried to maintain them and we got the 3 points. I think it’s our second win. We can’t jubilate too much,” Coach Aboubakar Ouattara said.
“We will continue to work hard and see what will happen for us this season. It’s not easy but we are going to do our best,” he continued.
The win moves Hearts of Oak to eighth on the Ghana Premier League standings ahead of their next game against Dreams FC on Friday, October 18 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
