Wiyaala’s ‘African Polyglot’ considered for Grammys Best Global Music Album

Date:

Afro-pop singer who doubles as a songwriter, Noella Wiyaala Nwadei, known in the showbiz circles as Wiyaala, has been nominated for this year’s Grammys.

The singer is on cloud nine, celebrating on social media for the milestone she has chalked with her album “African Polyglot,” which is in for the Grammy consideration for the “Best Global Music Album” of the year.

Wiyaala shared her joy on her Facebook page yesterday, where she thanked her mentors, who she looked up to in her career.

“FOR YOUR GRAMMY CONSIDERATION
‘African Polyglot’ Best Global Music Album
Thank you to the talented artists who inspired and contributed: K.O.G., Martin Gregory Smith, and Manuel Wandji. Thank you also to Mu Studios and WAMBO Studios for the good energy!” She said.

Wiyaala urged her fans to stream the African Polyglot on their favorite music channel.

“Recording Academy/Grammys
Wow! A big roar!” she added.

Many of her fans had since congratulated her for her hard work and unique style of singing with her native Sissala and Waala dialects.

In 2022, Wiyaala was welcomed as a member of the Grammys after receiving an invitation from the Recording Academy.

This was made known by Recording Academy President and CEO Harvey Mason Jr., who shared the news during an annual address in which he welcomed nearly 2,000 diverse musicians, including the Ghanaian afropop singer-songwriter.
