New Arsenal player Raheem Sterling has made a major commitment regarding his life as he affirms himself as a believer in Jesus Christ.
The former Manchester City star, loaned from Chelsea to the Gunners, has been spotted in a viral video, getting baptized as he sought to rid himself of old, unhelpful habits.
“The reason why I want to be baptized is that, from a young age, maybe as young as my sons there, I have always had a dream to get my mum and my family out of a certain predicament, and I always chased that dream. But along the line, you are creating habits and ego,” he testified in church.

“I am chasing what I believe I wanted, which is really who I really wanted growing up. So, I could sense that as I was growing up, and maturing, I could see I was chasing my ego, chasing what is really not for me. I was going to different environments, going to certain places, and I came to a realization that I don’t believe this is my life or who I truly am,” he concluded.
Sterling’s inspirational decision to commit to Christ echoes the promise of Corinthians 5:17, which assures that all things are made new in Christ.
