#GhanaPremierLeague: 490 players pocketed GHC 1.23M in 2023-24 season

Date:

The Ghana Football Association has announced the ‘Locker Room Bonus’ initiative has dished out GHC 1.23 million to 490 Ghana Premier League players in the 2023–24 season.

The initiative by betPawa, which was introduced in the 2022–23 season to reward “winners and great performances” by players on their respective squad lists, was increased in its second season from GHC 150 to GHC 400.

Nii Armah Ashong-Katai, the Country Marketing Manager for betPawa, said his outfit has always “sought to go beyond assisting sport management bodies in the administration costs of the game to giving more to the players in terms of direct benefits as a way to motivate and celebrate them further.”

All deserving players received their payments via mobile transfers before they left match venues after their games by betPawa.
