GPL Week 28: Atingah scores as Medeama beat Karela United in Nzema derby

Date:

Medeama defender Vincent Atingah scored as his side beat Karela United 1-0.

The game started brightly for Medeama who should have gone ahead early in the game but Prince Opoku Agyemang missed from close range.

Karela then controlled the tempo of the game and went into the break without conceding.

The second half started with Medeama still pilling pressure on Karela and missed a few chances but finally got the breakthrough in the 81st minute.

Corner kick was punched into the air by goalkeeper Baidoo only for Vincent Atingah to head in from close range to give Medeama the lead.

Karela pushed forward for the equalizer but Medeama held their lines to record a 1-0 victory.

Medeama are now 3rd on the league table with 46 points.
