MTN Ghana’s Shared Hope: “Ghana Go Be” Inspires Unity

Date:

MTN Ghana hosted the highly anticipated MTN FA Cup quarter-final draw at MTN House on March 19th, 2024.

The event, marked by a resounding spirit of unity and progress, exemplified the company’s unwavering commitment to advancing the sport in the face of challenges.

Addressing the distinguished attendees, Noel Kojo-Ganson, Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Ghana, echoed the sentiment of shared hope encapsulated in the company’s slogan, “Ghana Go Be.” He emphasized the importance of perseverance in the pursuit of football excellence, despite any obstacles encountered along the way.

Reflecting on MTN’s longstanding support of the FA Cup, Kojo-Ganson expressed profound pride in the tradition that the company has upheld over the years. He reminisced about the awe-inspiring performances witnessed in the previous season, particularly applauding Dreams FC for their triumphant victory in the 2022/2023 finals.

As the anticipation for the quarter-final draw reached a crescendo, Kojo-Ganson highlighted the impressive lineup of participating teams, each poised to leave an indelible mark on the competition.

From the reigning champions, Dreams FC, to formidable contenders like Bechem United FC, Legon Cities FC, Nsoatreman FC, Karela FC, Skyy FC, Soccer Intellectuals, and Bofoakwa Tano FC, the stage was set for an exhilarating clash of football prowess.

Yet, amidst the excitement of the forthcoming season, Kojo-Ganson underscored the pivotal role of the audience in fueling the energy and excitement within the stadium.

He outlined innovative strategies aimed at enhancing the tournament experience, from engaging discussions in the ‘MTN FA Cup Arena’ to vibrant community activations and immersive fan zones at match venues.

Crucially, Kojo-Ganson emphasized MTN’s steadfast commitment to sponsoring the FA Cup until 2026, with a generous allocation of GH¢1,500,000 for the inaugural season. Furthermore, he advocated for gender inclusivity in officiation, proposing the use of an all-female officiating team to ensure diversity and representation on the field.

In his closing remarks, Kojo-Ganson extended his best wishes to all the players, urging them to embody the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship throughout the competition. With a final question—”What are we doing today?”—he galvanized the audience to join MTN in its unwavering pursuit of football excellence and national pride.

As the event drew to a close, attendees departed with a renewed sense of optimism and determination, inspired by MTN Ghana’s shared hope that “Ghana Go Be” in the world of football and beyond.
