#AfricanGames2023: Azamati, Aggerh through to men’s 100m final

Benjamin Azamati and Barnabas Aggerh of Ghana have advanced to the men’s 100-meter final in the 2023 African Games.

Three members of Ghana’s team, including the sprinters Sarfo Ansah and the other two, advanced to the semifinals after easily finishing their individual heats.

In semifinal heat 1, Aggerh finished second with a time of 10.46 seconds, easily advancing to the final while Ansah placed sixth in the same race.

Azamati also qualified for the 100-meter finals, having placed second in the semifinal heat 2 with a time of 10.41 second, as Emmanuel Eseme of Cameroon won the event in 10.23 seconds.

Tuesday, March 19, is the day of the men’s 100-meter final.
