JUST IN: Kpando Heart of Lions appoint Bashir Hayford as head coach

Date:

Ghana Premier League struggling side, Kpando Heart of Lions has appointed  experience tactician Bashir Hayford as their new head coach.

The Kpando-based football club, grappling with a precarious position in the league standings, has turned to the experienced hands of Coach Hayford to navigate them out of the danger zone.

This strategic appointment follows the departure of Fatawu Salifu, who found himself on the receiving end of the club’s decision to part ways due to a series of disappointing results.

Heart of Lions is placing its hopes on the wealth of experience that Coach Hayford brings to the table, anticipating a turnaround under his guidance.

With a record of eight draws and five defeats in the first 13 matches, the team currently languishes in the 18th position. The struggle is evident in their points tally, a mere eight points that place them in a precarious position.

The official statement reads: “We are delighted to officially announce the appointment of Bashir Hayford as the Club’s new Head Coach. He makes a return to the Lions Den.”

Heart of Lions will play Legon Cities away on match week 16.
