MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Invest in tangible things – Ofori Amponsah advises celebs

Date:

Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has advised creatives to invest in tangible things that they could liquidate should they encounter problems in life.

According to him, he did not get relevant financial coaching earlier, which made him spend unwisely.

“At a point, I wondered what I did with all the money I made from shows. I spent them on unnecessary things, so I reasoned up to invest wisely,” he stated.

Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Dew in Accra on Friday, the ace musician said creative people mostly focus on creating, so they tend to forget about making wise investments for the future.

“Most of the time, their minds are on creating stuff, but they have to know that it is show and business. For me, I love buildings, so whenever I perform, I invest the money into buildings, land, and other tangible things so that someday I will be able to see them,” he said.

Ofori Amponsah emphasized that investment was paramount and that every creative person should focus on it in order not to regret it later, when the money was not coming.

“This building project I embarked on has really helped me and now I am making money. Even if I choose not to work, I will get a place to sleep wherever I move to and the royalties are also coming,” he added.
