Vincent Sowah Odotei, Board Member of Accra Hearts of Oak, has stated the club intends to hire a coach of high standards, such as South African top coach Pitso Mosimane.
The Rainbow Club has been without a head coach since the surprising sacking of Dutch tactician Martinus Koopman in November.
Abdul Rahim Bashiru, who is an assistant coach, is currently tasked with steering the Phobians to safe ground.
In an interview with a local radio station, the board member said the club, at this present time, is unable to appoint a coach of the caliber of the former Al Ahly coach due to financial reasons.
“Those of us in charge of Hearts of Oak now want to bring someone like Pitso Mosimane. Can we afford him? Do you know how much he was being paid at Al Ahly? “He quizzed.
“The point I am trying to make is that when appointing a coach, a lot of considerations come into play.
“If the fans are patient with us a bit, we believe we will get to a stage where we can attract world-class coaches.”
