CAF CL 2023/24: Medeama to battle Belouizdad without star man

Date:

The 2023–24 CAF Champions League second group match between Medeama and Algeria’s dominant team, CR Belouizdad, is scheduled to take place. Unfortunately, Medeama will not be playing with star man Jonathan Sowah.

This is because he received too many yellow cards and is now suspended for the crucial match that would either win or send the team back to the knockout stages.

Since joining the Yellow and Mauves last year, Sowah has spearheaded their offensive, helping them to an unprecedented Ghana Premier League championship and advancing them to the CAF Champions League group stage.

The CR Belouizdad will be hosted by the Ghanaian champions at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this Friday, December 1, 2023, after losing the opening-round match 3-0 in Cairo to Al Ahly.
