MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Tiktok yields better results than promoting songs in Nigeria – Bullgod

Date:

Artiste manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, known in the industry as Bullgod, has charged musicians to prioritize the use of social media, especially TikTok, to promote their songs.

He warned local musicians to do away with the notion that promoting their songs in Nigeria would make their songs heard outside Africa.

Bullgod’s comment is in response to a call made by a Nigerian promoter and broadcaster, Adesope Olajide, who was urging musicians in Ghana to choose Nigeria as a second place to promote their songs.

Opposing the call, Bullgod said his point was needless, explaining that the internet presented a lot of creatives with a better platform to showcase and market their works globally.

“This is 2023; let nobody come and tell us that we need to go to Nigeria to promote music. We won’t go to Lagos. Why should we even do that? There’s no time for that because everything is digital now.”

“If we didn’t know the relevance of the internet, at least we experienced its relevance during the peak of the coronavirus. Nobody has time to go to Lagos. When you release a song in Accra, the next place should be the TikTok office. If you have the money for promotion, go to the TikTok office and pay them,” he charged.
