MAX ENTERTAINMENT: Ghanaians exchange sentiments rather than value – Edem

Date:

Award-winning rapper Edem has advised Ghanaians to shy away from being social with a group of people who exchange value, money, and time.

That, he said, will foster development and go a long way toward ensuring people’s efforts and time are well appreciated.

Speaking in a recent media interview, Edem observed that many Ghanaians were not business-minded people but people who wanted things to be done for them based on merit.

In turn, he said they tend to foster and validate foreign things compared to things locally, in terms of events and other things that could improve the country’s economy.

“Not because we are deliberate about it, but because we are social people and not capital people. Over here, we are social because we exchange help. When you travel outside, because they are capital, they exchange money and value,” he said.

The Ewe rapper cited that many Ghanaians even give jobs to those they deem to be nice instead of those who deserve the job and could add value.

“So over here, we exchange more emotions and sentiments,” he added.

Edem then charged Ghanaians to have a capital mind rather than being social people for the benefit of all.
